Gamescom 2016 - Swiftmill's 12 games in 12 months challenge

Rather than showing off their latest title, Swiftmill Games updated us on their highly ambitious and admirable project goal: to make 12 games in 12 months.

So to make 12 games in 12 months takes some serious personal organisation and a crazy level of drive that you don't see in many people. Why set the task, you ask? To make the next 'biggest game' the developers said. Fair enough, I say. Swiftmill have two titles released already: Danger Wave, a fun little side-scrolling action game featuring 16 playable characters and a neat time-slowing feature; and Hop to Top, a fast-paced climbing game about climbing an unforgiving ladder. There are three more almost ready for release - Zombie Defenders, Hydraulic Melons, and a yet-to-be-named colour puzzler - and even after that, Swiftmill still have seven more games to bag them a place atop the most popular and most played App Store lists.

We'll update you when more titles are released - more than likely, one each month for the next seven months.
