Is it called Fallout because of the bombs or Fallout because everyone hates each other?

Having experienced a hugely positive reception since its launch, Bethesda's Fallout Shelter has received update 1.6 – its biggest update yet.

For those who don't know, Fallout Shelter is a managing simulator in which you, the Overseer, have to build and supervise a thriving Vault for Dwellers to cohabit in. You have to assign jobs, individual tasks, and match-make couples in order to save yourselves and hopefully the human race.

To celebrate Fallout Shelter's one-year anniversary, update 1.6 introduces a new Quest system with a combat mechanic. It also introduces two new items for hasty Overseers: the starter pack (which allows you to jump start a new vault), and Nuka-Cola Quantum (which speeds up Dwellers returning from the Wasteland and various Vault tasks).

Did you catch that last part? Instead of being stuck indoors, you can now send Dwellers to explore the Wastelands and see what you come back with…if you come back at all.

Head over to iTunes, or Google Play, now to pick up your copy of Fallout Shelter now totally free. Oh, one last thing - did we mention it's now available on PC?
