If you’re craving a big dose of Final Fantasy, this year may just be your year.

Timed with the development of FFVII remake and FFXV, there is a rumour going around regarding the possible release of FFIX on PS Vita.

This rumour stems from the listing of a PS Vita port on LinkedIn by a developer at Silicon Studio Thailand.

This information has been deleted since, but according to Neogaf users, there’s a reference to a Vita version in the PC files of the game.

The PC version had been enhanced in relation to the original, adding the possibility to speed up combat, and had also been ported to mobile devices, so the Vita version seems the natural next step. However, the project could have been scrapped altogether long ago.

Square Enix has also recently announced that they are bringing Romancing Saga 2 to Vita, which would indicate a trend on their part. And boy does the Vita needs it.
