Mystic Castle is a deep and unique text-based adventure that straddles a ton of different genres, and it's out right now on iOS.
At it's core it's an RPG combined with a city builder, but it also contains elements of adventure and simulation games.
You play as an alchemist, and enter a dangerous dungeon in a bid to build a flourishing underground city. To do so, you'll need to generate gold, hire farmers to gather resources, and build a variety of useful buildings.
As soon as you're all set, you can start training warriors to head out on adventures in the wild. Along the way they'll battle various weird creatures, take down entire strongholds, and encounter a bunch of random events.

Random events can pop up at any time, and range from loaning money to a tramp in exchange for a potentially enormous reimbursement in the future, or learning new skills from passing tutors.
The base world is massive, and made up of over 500 different areas in 10 maps. You can top it up at any point by grabbing an expansion pack as an IAP as well.
