Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Rodeo Games disbands after Warhammer 40k: Deathwatch fails to meet sales expectations

Rodeo Games were fans of the Warhammer universe. From Warhammer: Quest, a love letter to the old dungeon crawler mixed with the classic Warhammer flair, to Warhammer 40K: Deathwatch, Rodeo wanted to create the best experience possible for fans.

It enjoyed quite a big success with Warhammer: Quest and decided to ramp up the budget on its next game: Warhammer 40K: Deathwatch.

It reviewed very well and got some highly deserved praised everywhere. Alas, the game did not do well on the App Store and according to one developer over on TouchArcade, it seems like Rodeo is no longer making games.

It's especially painful as a multiplayer update and plenty of post launch content was planned for the title.

This is again a reminder that you should absolutely buy premium games without waiting for sales as it's ravaging mobile developers.

If you're not a fan of the Warhammer universe but still want to check out Rodeo's work, take a look at the Hunters series.

We'll miss you Rodeo Games.
