The much-loved farming franchise Harvest Moon has finally come to the App Store, in Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories. And, surprisingly!, it's not a free to play game.

As ever, you're tasked with revitalising a farm. And that generally involves growing crops, and raising livestock like cows, sheep, and chickens. You'll also cook, fish, forage, and mine.

When the working day is done you'll look after your pets, ride horses, and even try and find a husband or wife. There are 5 dudes and 5 ladies who you can romance and ask to marry you.

Your main goal, though, is to unlock the titular Seeds of Memories. You'll get these by "giving a villager their favorite item, catching a giant fish, or by raising your first cow", says Natsume.

Harvest Moon

The game looks a bit… hokey. Not exactly on par with the recent handheld editions of Harvest Moon. But hey, at least you don't have to pay real cash to harvest your strawberries.

If you want to give it a go you'll need to fork over £7.99 / $9.99. You'll also need an iPhone 5S, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, or iPod touch 6 or better. For some reason.
