Czech developer Amanita Design has put its two award-winning iOS games, Machinarium and Botanicula, on sale for one week.

Which is good. Because they're awesome.

They're both puzzle-filled point and click adventures about mute little people exploring weird worlds. The art is hand-drawn and there isn't a word of text in either game.

Machinarium is set in a rusty tin-can world of automatons. You play as Josef: a pint-size bot who solve puzzles and mini-games to save his metal-plated girlfriend.

It's £1.49 / $1.99 on the App Store, and works on both iPhone and iPad.

Botanicula is practically the polar opposite: this time, everything is organic and green, with the game taking place on the winding branches of a giant tree. This time you play as five different creatures.

This one is also £1.49 / $1.99 on the App Store, but is iPad only.

If you liked both of them, you might also dig Amanita's feature film Kooky, which is also on iPad and also on sale for £1.49 / $1.99.

Sadly, the games aren't on sale on Android.
