Rockstar has ported the PSP game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories to iOS, and it's out now on the App Store for £4.99 / $6.99.

This game takes place in the same location as Grand Theft Auto III, but with a new protagonist (former mafia man Toni Cipriani), a fresh plot, brand new missions, and lots of welcome changes.

The game has been tweaked extensively for iOS, as well, with shorter missions designed with mobile in mind, graphic enhancements, rebalanced touch controls, cross platform saves, and native Retina screen support.

Alongside those many visual upgrades - including high resolution textures, real-time lighting and shadows, and enhanced draw distance - you'll also get 60 fps gameplay if you're rocking an iPhone 6s or iPad Pro.

The game also support those fancy MFi controllers.

We liked the PSP version when it hit 10 years ago (!), saying "forgive it its few shortcomings and Liberty City Stories will reward you with a pocket gaming experience like no other".

If you want to play, make sure you have an iPhone 5 or better, iPod Touch 6th gen, an iPad 4th gen or better, or an iPad Mini 2 or newer.
