Nitrome has revealed that its next game is set to hit the App Store before Christmas. In fact it'll be out this Thursday.

It's called Rustbucket, and it's a slight departure for the studio. Rather than a platformer, it's a pared back roguelike.

It's sharp, but it's accessible, and Nitrome reckons it's the best game it's released this year. Which I guess it would.

The game sports the usual gorgeous art-style, and there are plenty of hovering skulls to smash up, fire traps to dodge, and keys to find.

Anyway, the game should be hitting the App Store in the next couple of days. And when it does expect us to review its face right off.
