Well received JRPG The Last Remnant has stealth-released on the Japanese iOS and Android stores today. Square Enix originally released the game back in 2008 on Xbox 360.

The game is priced at 2,000 Yen - which works out at around £11 - and according to the description requires a constant connection to the internet in order to play.

The download is a mere 21.3mb, but this appears to be because most of the gameplay is streamed to your mobile device from Square servers.

A 30 minute, free to play trial is also mentioned, but any progress made during the trial will not carry across to the full product.

This looks like the same version of The Last Remnant that released on PC in 2009 and it supports iOS 8.1 and Android 4.2 or later.

There's no word of a Western release, but we'll update you as soon as we know more.
