Coin-Op Heroes 2 is a new 'tapper' RPG with a lot of barmy energy, out now

Coin-Op Heroes 2 isn't a sequel.

No, I'm not joking. But the creators of the game are. This being a fake sequel is an example of their humour.

That aside, Coin-Op Heroes 2 came out on iOS and Android yesterday so let's find out more about it.

It's a "tapper" with RPG elements in which you have to defeat the evil inside the arcade machine you're trapped in.

You do this by, yes, tapping the screen as much as you can. Tapping is how you attack. Simple as that.

As you progress, you're able to unlock more party members, weapons, and items that'll make tapping a little less exhausting.

As you can tell by the vivid pixels and madcap characters the game is aiming to be a bit over-the-top and random (again, part of the humour).

The game throws sludge monsters, vampires, snakes, pandas - all sorts at you. There are also battles with over 300 warriors later in the game.

If you're feeling Coin-Op Heroes 2's energy then you can download it for free on the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore right now.

Some in-game items can be purchased for real money.
