Monstergotchi is an RPG about battling your own gruesome Frankenstein's monster
What a beast!
FDG Entertainment, the publisher that brought us Oceanhorn, has now revealed its latest game called Monstergotchi.
No, it's a virtual pet app (a la Tamagotchi) but an RPG in which you can create your own monster from different ghastly body parts. Yes, you can be Dr. Frankenstein, essentially.
As you design your monster you'll have to take into account what strengths and weaknesses each body part will bring to the final creation.
The point of this system is to allow for dozens of unique fighters that will affect your effectiveness in battle.
FDG gives a couple of examples of the possible monsters: "a water damage focused melee wolf-bear-hybrid or a powerful fire mage with raven wings and a pumpkin head."
The idea is to create monsters that are able to take down your enemy in necromancer Zaralor and his henchmen.
There will be five story chapters with lots of quests to beat.
Plus, a PvP arena will let you pit your monstrous creations against those by other online players. You fight to improve your global ranking and win daily rewards.
Monstergotchi will be coming to iOS this winter. We'll keep you updated as it nears the release date.
