We have just over two months to go until the biggest and best mobile games show in the western world hits London again.

But we wanted to give you a heads up on some of the cool stuff you'll be able to discover at Pocket Gamer Connects London 2016, as well as a final chance to submit your own talks and genuinely get involved.

Plus our all-important Early Bird cheap ticket program will be ending midnight UK time on Friday 6th November.

We can reveal there will be at least 7 distinct tracks taking place at PG Connects featuring over 100 speakers helping to engage, inform and excite you about every major part of the mobile games industry.

As detailed below, the line up will include updated versions of some familiar crowd favourites, as well as some new elements, all delivered with our customary spin (hell if you can't have some fun at a games conference then where can you?!)

  • Best of British

The UK is fighting its way back to the very top table of the games industry with a host of initiatives (regional and national), plentiful funding opportunities, new platforms (mobile in particular but also VR), and, of course, plenty of raw talent.

Here we celebrate the best of the game makers and technology creators with success stories from around the country, explore the advantages of making games in Britain and look ahead to the future of the UK industry.

  • Indie Appocalypse

The mobile gaming landscape may seem a harsh and unforgiving place for developers having to battle against the twin threats of deep pocketed-super developers like Machine Zone, EA, King and Supercell, and consumers happy to give you their brains, but who are less keen on opening their wallets.

This track will brief you on the situation and arm you with strategies, tools and techniques needed to survive and thrive against the odds before explaining why indies may be best placed to deliver the antidote to the real threat of consumer apathy.

  • Global Games Publishing: East meets West

Highlighting the key trends, challenges and opportunities for modern publishers thinking on a global scale, we'll investigate the power of brands, discuss the emergence of eSports and explore the established and emerging markets in Asia and beyond to identify the where you should be focusing next.

  • Monetise, Retain, Acquire

The funnel has been turned on its head in recent years meaning it's now vital that you establish a model to keep the player returning and spending before splashing UA dollars.

Monetise, Retain and Acquire will connect you with the biggest names and smartest minds of the industry to provide all the info you need in one place, including an exploration of new and old media (from specialist press to YouTubers and Twitchers).

  • Future Visions (AR & VR)

VR is the new black right now for the games scene, both in mobile and console/PC.

Behind the hype though, what is the real size of the opportunity for developers, which platforms should you back and could AR be even bigger?

  • Show me the Money (Funding)

As competition intensifies and games as a service require ever more investment, funding becomes an increasingly crucial part of every plan. Fortunately there are more avenues than ever before to get investment and support for your business. But which ones make sense for you, how do you go about preparing yourself and what are the pitfalls to avoid?

  • Mobile Games University

A brand new track dedicated to providing more hands-on advice and practical workshops in the art of making and marketing your mobile games.

And much, much more...

And of course that's just the start.

There'll be two packed expo areas for you to wander around checking out the latest technology, software and awesome indie games. There's a dedicated pitch and match meeting system provided free for all delegates and ample meeting space.

We'll have our awesome Very Big Indie Pitch (submit here), plus a brand new separate dedicated VR Indie Pitch allowing virtual reality game developers to compete on an even keel in front of a panel of expert media and industry judges.

The popular Pocket Gamer PechaKucha will return of course and there'll be plenty of time to mingle less formally at the after hours party and networking events.
