From blue hedgehogs to purple dragons, video games aren't afraid to push the boundaries in character design.

And yet, it's rare for an octogenarian to shuffle their way on to the screen. In a world where we can get a black market Picasso or a spare kidney online, why can't we see some wrinkles in our games?

Well, this is where The Beggar's Ride begs to differ. It's a premium iOS platformer that stars an old, pot-bellied man as its chosen hero.

Armed with a magic mask that gives him godlike powers, you guide the beggar man through an alternate world filled with puzzles and traps.
