Zombie Match Defense - the winner of one of our Big Indie Pitch events, and a game about murdering the undead - will hit the App Store at midnight tonight, where it will cost £1.49 / $1.99.
It's a mash-up of a lane defense game and a match-stuff puzzler. With zombies. But while it ticks almost all the boxes on our "utterly generic mobile game" form, something strangely alluring happens when you chuck all those tropes together.
It's got bonkers bonus items like a milkshake that gives the zombies brain freeze. But it has no time pressures - so you can play in peace - and no in-app purchases - so you can pay in peace.
