At Wargaming's European World of Warships launch event last week, Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi has said that Wargaming is "technologically ready" for VR.
While it's not currently on the cards for any of their games, Kislyi says that as long as VR is a "massive phenomenon" than Wargaming is ready to jump in.
There's been speculation recently as to whether Wargaming could be taking bold steps into the VR space after several 360 videos allowed you to experience tanks and then later a battle recreation.
Those hoping for imminent World of Tanks battling could be left a little cold at the news the might be waiting a little longer to strap themselves into their tanks with virtual reality.
World of Warships's global publishing producer Artur Piociennik suggests that World of Tanks would be the best option for VR, due to the tanks homogenous viewpoint - but if he were to put it into World of Warships he'd be most interested in a "in port" VR mode.
This potential mode would involve exploring your ships in port, allowing you to see Wargaming's attention to detail up close.
This doesn't give us any solid information on when a VR launch for these games could be happening, but it's good to know it's being thought about by the company.
