This will include new cards that should shake up the play even more (but not too much). Developer Tinytouchtales mentioned the idea of having monsters you can recruit as monsters to fight against other monsters.
Other ideas include a Shop-Box that will host a "Heist-Cardthat can steal sold items." And a card that inverts the function of items and weapons - "a potion could become a weapon, a sword or shield a potion."
But the biggest part of this update will be a Dungeon Builder. Yes, it'll let you create your own dungeons for other players to crawl through.
"The Dungeon Builder will allow Decks to have larger starting values than 10 for individual cards," Tinytouchtales said.
"In addition Decks won’t have to have all card types. This means that you can create decks that are only playable with a specific set of ability cards or a Deck in which you can’t heal and so on."
These user-built dungeons will also have highscore tables like the Daily Dungeons. So you'll easily be able to compete with other players.
But that's not all. Tinytouchtales also noted that it's working on an "unofficial" successor to Card Crawl. It'll be another Solitaire-style card game but with fresh ideas and a new theme.
Another card crawler
Anyway, Card Crawl is one of my top mobile games this year so hearing news of it getting more content has put a silly smile on my face.
We gave it a Silver Award in our review calling it a "brilliant distillation of the dungeon crawler."
