Koi - Journey of Purity is a meditative exploration adventure in which you have to help a group of koi purify a lake.

The visuals are influenced by classic Chinese art and cartoons and the attention to detail is awe-inspiring. You'll find fish playing together in the water, frogs cheerfully croaking away on lotus leaves, and flowers blooming before your very eyes.

You simply have to tap or swipe your koi, depending on your preference, to direct it around the lake, collecting items and solving puzzles across a number of different stages.

It starts small in a tranquil pond covered in lotus leaves before quickly ramping up into a raging storm until the koi manages to overcome all puzzles and obstacles and purifies the lake.

But the journey is as important as the goal as you'll really want to absorb each of the different picturesque environments and explore every nook and cranny of the still and tranquil waters.

Koi - Journey of Purity has proved a tremendous success since launch, after being featured in the App Store in well over 100 countries.

Before launch its potential was recognised when it was nominated for the 2015 GDC IMGA Best Upcoming Game - the only Chinese-developed game to achieve that.

If you'd like to check it out for yourself, head on over to the App Store [download] or wait for it to hit Google Play tomorrow.
