Blocky Raider pitches itself as a cross between Crossy Road and Indiana Jones, and it doesn't land too far from the mark.

You tap on the screen to bounce your fedora-hatted hero through a linear maze. Swiping to the left or the right makes you jump in that direction.

There are plenty of obstacles to avoid on your travels, from pits, pools, and puddles of lava, to walls, spikes, and smashing gates.

The game is all about getting as far as you can before you get squished, impaled, or tumble to your doom. And it's pretty addictive all told.

Sure, it wears its influences almost shamelessly on its sleeves, but there's a weight to the proceedings that mean, while you have seen everything it has to offer before, you won't be too bothered about the repeat viewing.
