Aliceffekt's latest game is not what you'd expect from him.

We've come to know him as the person behind esoteric, glyph-filled mazes such as Hiversaires and Oquonie.

What's Eakout all about, then? It's a two-player arcade game. In fact, Aliceffekt describes it as a "local cooperative twist to the original breakout style games."

You play it on a single screen, with one person sat at either end, and move a paddle around at the bottom to hit a ball to each other.

The idea is to work together to break the grid of blocks in the centre of the screen. To break each block, both players must hit them with the ball.

"Collided blocks display a color of the required polarity once a player has hit them, and remain on stage until the second player's ball has also touched them," Aliceffekt explains.

If you're ever bored with a friend and fancy a quick game of something then Eakout may be the solution to that. You can download it 79p / 99c on the App Store.
