The path of least resistance
Steamville is a new steampunk-themed puzzle game from Telehorse, developers of the aptly named Steampunker.
Played from an isometric perspective, you control returning hero Vincent, against extraterrestrial machines invading the titular town of Steamville.
Wielding deadly flamethrowers, these robots can kill you easily, but Vincent is armed with electric bombs that can attract enemies and activate machinery from a distance.
You must carefully guide Vincent through each level, using your bombs to lure robots into the range of devastating Tesla Coils. As you progress, new mechanics will be introduced, including flying robots and portals.
Steamville looks gorgeous in motion, with airships and clouds drifting overhead and electricity crackling along power lines.
The game will feature four chapters of challenging puzzles when it releases on iOS and Android devices later this year.
