Breakneck looks like the result of a high speed collision between WipEout's high-speed sensibilities, Starfox's futuristic environments, and a traditional mobile auto-runner.

As you can see from the video above, you have to evade a bunch of faceless pursuers in your fancy rocket jet by flying true and boosting your way to safety.

Your boost meter is charged up by drifting dangerously close to obstacles. However, one meaty head-on collision with a crate or tower and it's game over. You'll also need to collect some coins while you're dodging and boosting to ensure you have enough dough to upgrade your rig and push deeper into the game.

Breakneck is currently in soft launch in the Australian, Swedish, and Singaporean App Stores, where it can be downloaded for free. We'll let you know when the rest of the world can get in on the action.

James pivoted to video so hard that he permanently damaged his spine, which now doubles as a Cronenbergian mic stand. If the pictures are moving, he's the one to blame.
