It might sound like a type of posh salad leaf, but Rotatio is actually a stripped-back, super hard-core score chaser.

Yes, another one. It's got quite a distinctive core mechanic though.

You're essentially tapping the screen to pass through narrow gates, as usual. However, rather than simply flying or moving forward in a linear fashion, here your little craft is moving along a constantly rotating line.

When you hold the screen your craft moves in one direction. Release and it switches to the other direction.

The fact that this line is always turning means that you need a good sense of spatial orientation, and quite possibly a strong stomach.

While fresh, I actually found this system incredibly irritating. The way the controls correspond to your craft's movement simply feels too abstract, and frustration kicked in well before the awkward controls clicked.

Rotatio is an admirable attempt at trying something a little different, but it simply isn't much fun.

A worthy attempt at trying something new in the hardcore screen-tappy sub-genre, Rotatio is nonetheless too awkward for its own good
