Fixing it before a mobile release?

Knights of the Old Republic II updated on Steam by team who brought original to mobile

It may have been out for ten years already, but Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords has just received a pretty major update over on Steam.

The update adds Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud saving, native widescreen resolutions, resolutions up to 4K and 5K, and support for controllers.

But most interestingly is the inclusion of Steam Workshop, which is the platform that makes mods easier to distribute and install.

Aspyr, the company that brought the original KotOR to mobile and was in charge of this update, also worked with the TSLCRM team to bring its mod to the platform.

TSLCRM, or The Sith Lords Content Restoration Mod, adds in content that was scrapped from the original release due to time constraints.

So if Aspyr's rumoured KotOR II mobile release is real, could we be seeing some kind of Director's Cut with the TSLCRM added to the mobile version?

Maybe, but it's all just rumours and speculation for now. In the meantime, you can check out KotOR II in all its updated glory over on Steam.
