Updated on July 23rd at 11:45: This article previously stated that Qbert Rebooted wasn't available on Android.

It is, but only for Android TV. You can grab it on Google Play.

"We will have a full android mobile version in the next month," the game's creators tell us.

Original story follows...

Qbert Rebooted is here. And why? Blame Adam Sandler and his new arcade game throwback movie Pixels. Qbert is in it so there has to be a tie-in game, apparently.

But enough of this cynicism. Who doesn't enjoy a popular 1980s arcade puzzler recreated in 3D that remains faithful to the original? Adam Sandler be damned.

You don't have to play it with the new 3D graphics, though. Yep, the original arcade game graphics are available if you prefer low-res vision.

Other additions include three new enemies (Homer, Uppercut and Treasure Chest) and variants on the original game mode including Q*zilla, Q*bot, and Q*knight.

Oh, and if you're not familiar with Qbert at all, here's the lowdown: you have to leap around a pyramid, avoiding enemies, and converting each block to his colour.

You can download Qbert Rebooted for free on the App Store right now.
