Mr. Umbrella reverses the tap-to-ascend, endless climber template. Here you tap to slow your descent.

However, this switch in approach proves a lot less satisfying and a lot more frustrating in practice.

The timing is just too tricky to get right, and you're not granted enough fine control over your little plummeting dude's movement.

It's difficult to judge whether the next gate will close on you until you're quite near it, and by then it's often too late. In an endless climber you can adjust the speed of your movement by tapping more vigorously, but here your traversal system is somehow even less sophisticated.

Mr. Umbrella tries to change things around in this most-bloated of sub-genres (although fans of Ridiculous Fishing will know that it isn't even that fresh), but it only serves to make things even more annoying and less involving.
