Special Tactics Online's multiplayer will be free while single player comes at a price, out this week

Beast Mode Games's action-strategy game Special Tactics Online will be out for iOS this Thursday, July 23rd.

It's designed as a premium game with free multiplayer. This means you'll be able to download the game for free but you'll only be able to online against other players.

There will be a Pro Pack available at a price that adds more modes including the Campaign, Survival, Shield Class, and Replay Analysis System (analysing and sharing matches).

We went hands-on with Special Tactics Online last month as you can see in the video below.

The game involves commanding a squad to either raid or defend a bomb site. You can have snipers keep their distance while shotgunners charge in for the kill.

Using smoke grenades to create screens and get closer while blocking line of sight is another example of the tactics you should consider.

Expect it to get intense quickly too as it plays in real-time so there's no waiting for your opponent to make a move in online matches.

There are 22 Campaign missions to beat in total. Then there's the Survival and Multiplayer to keep you busy for however long you wish.

We'll let you know when you can download Special Tactics Online later this week.
