Rodeo's Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch - Tyranid Invasion launches this week
Bring down the hammer
Rodeo Games's new turn-based strategy strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch - Tyranid Invasion, will be out this Thursday, the 16th of July, on iPhone and iPad.
Described as a spiritual successor to Hunters and Hunters 2, the game is all about spending action posts wisely to move (and shoot) your way through claustrophobic corridors lined with enemy Tyranids, in 40 campaign missions.
You'll collect Wargear and new Deathwatch Marines as you play (by completing missions and unlocking card packs) which you can use to mix up and upgrade your crew. And picking different types of soldier can vastly change how the game plays.
"Some take a load of Assault marines with shields and grenades, and charge them into close combat," explains Rodeo. "Others hang back and bombard the enemy from afar with Devastators equipped with heavy weapons".
Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch will be a premium priced game, and you'll get a 15 hour campaign and visuals powered by Unreal Engine 4 for your cash. You will need an iPad 4, iPad mini 2, or iPhone 5 or better to play.
