Activision has plans to steal even more of your pocket money, with a new Skylanders game that focuses on land, sea and, sky vehicles. It's called Skylanders Superchargers and it's out this autumn.

The game will feature vehicular combat, races, and aerial dogfights, and you can customise and upgrade all your vehicles. Plus, the game will have all the usual on-foot adventures, but set in a bunch of new environments.

Obviously, you'll be able to buy little toy versions of all the vehicles in the game and then bring them to life by plopping the hunks of plastic onto a Bluetooth portal. You'll also get new heroes called SuperChargers who have fresh moves and weapons.

Twenty new SuperChargers character toys and 20 new vehicle toys will be available. And if you pair a SuperCharger with its signature vehicle you'll get a super powered vehicle and your wallet will be several grams lighter.

Luckily, Skylanders SuperChargers will support all 300-odd toys from the older games, and your favourite Skylanders characters will get to drive those vehicles.

Activision says that "the complete Skylanders SuperChargers experience" - the one on consoles - will be available on iPad. A different adventure will be on 3DS. They're all out on September 20th in the US and September 25th in Europe.
