The popular PC roguelike, Sproggiwood, has been announced for release on iOS and Android this May 28th.

This is no watered-down port. It's the very same gorgeous Sproggiwood you played on PC but with some handy touchscreen controls thrown in.

Sproggiwood is a roguelike based on Finnish folklore in which Sproggi - the guardian of Sprog and master of sheep disguises - lures you into his realm so that you can restore order to the land and its inhabitants.

That includes a budding mushroom civilisation, which you can either nourish or crush depending on how much you like mushrooms.

Each dungeon is procedurally generated and filled with enemies, traps, and loot.

Completing each one is no mean feat and you'll die over and over just like in other rogeulikes. You won't be forced to start over each time though, you're just encouraged to try that dungeon again.

There are six character classes to choose from and each have their own customizable weapons, armour, and abilities.

You can also build yourself a town and fill it with creatures you tame while adventuring through Sprog.

Head on over to the App Store or Google Play on May 28th, where Sproggiwood will be available for £7.99 / $9.99.
