Gravity Mike is exactly the sort of game that should never appear on Apple Watch. It's just too cramped, too uncomfortable, and too crap to get any sort of recommendation.

It's ostensibly a platformer, but that's being too generous. You wander about claustrophobic mazes, looking for the exit (as well as switches and keys) and flip gravity, like in VVVVVV, to bounce between the floor and ceiling.

Unfortunately, the tiny screen size means you won't be able to see what's above you, and if you're about to dive into deadly electric fence, until it's much too late. The game quickly devolves into trial and error as you try to remember where the dangers are.

That's not to mention the fact that you can't hold down the buttons so you'll be tapping like crazy just to move right or left. Or that the game updates at one frame every half second, like you're watching a slideshow.

I wouldn't rule out the idea of action games working well on Apple Watch - despite the fact that they're horribly uncomfortable to play - but Gravity Mike is not a good advert for the prospect.

Gravity Mike (Apple Watch)

Gravity Mike is a poorly designed platformer, made a thousand times worse in an attempt to squeeze it onto Apple Watch
