If you like games that draw from a bunch of different genres, this one might be for you.

Trash Games's VR jam entry Stone Road is being pitched as "part board game, part puzzle and part fantasy adventure." That's a lot of different sources.

More specifically, solo developer Duncan Walker lists Zen Bound, Hitman GO and The Room as inspiration, alongside Legend of Grimrock and the Myst series.

The only problem here is that there's no real clue what the game will actually be.

Aside from a grid-based movement system and presumably some kind of puzzle-solving, there's very little info about what you, the player, will be required to do.

Still, early screenshots are looking promising. So if Walker can mix the better parts of his inspirations together into a decent concoction, then this could be a very interesting game.

Take a look for yourself on Stone Road's VR Jam entry page.
