High-speed, Japanese hack-'n'-slasher Croixleur Sigma is heading to PS Vita in the west

Playism will be bringing high-speed hack-'n'-slasher Croixleur Sigma to PS Vita in the US and Europe later this year.

We know this as the publisher unveiled a new web page that contains all of the Japanese games it will be bringing to PlayStation platforms in 2015.

Most of them are heading to PS4 only, but TorqueL and Croixleur Sigma are listed as coming to Vita as well.

We already knew about TorqueL's incoming arrival on Vita, as can be read about here, hence we're focusing on Croixleur Sigma for now.

Croixleur Sigma is an expanded version of Croixleur by its original creator souvenir circ. It was originally published on PC last year.

In short, it has you battling up floors of a tall tower in a race to the top against your childhood friend. Each floor is an enclosed arena that spawns all sorts of monsters at you, all shapes and sizes.

The reason you're doing this is to satisfy the demands of a sacred ritual called the “Adjuvant Trial.”

Whoever wins by reaching the top decides which faction holds political and military power. That faction is also in charge of protecting the Queen of Ilance.

The focus of the game isn't the story, of course, but on chaining together combos with the different weapons and playstyles you unlock.

The PC version and, presumably, PS4 version has a two player co-op mode. This probably won't be available on the Vita, but you never know.

It also has Time Trial, Survival, and Challenge modes alongside the Story Mode which, itself, has multiple endings to discover.

You can find out more about Croixleur Sigma on its website.
