This viking-based rhythm game will try to distract you with Cthulhu and bird poo

Getting covered in bird poo is annoying at any time, especially so when trying to keep rhythm while rowing a viking longship.

But you'll have to pull through it when that happens to you when playing Viking Remix Madness. If you don't then you're only going to get more upset when you don't beat your best record.

This upcoming iOS game is essentially an endless runner that puts rhythm-matching at the forefront.

Details of exactly how it plays are murky, but the gist is that you'll need to tap to keep pace in order to row as far as possible with a fashionable viking crew.

They wear sunglasses, headphones, play guitar, and even have hooks for hands. But that's nothing compared to what other surprises the game has in store for you.

Unlike other endless runners that throw hazards at you to dodge, Viking Remix Madness lets bizarre and tremendous sights take over the screen in an attempt to distract you.

This includes, yes, getting covered in bird poo. But as you'll see in the game's trailer, horrendous rain storms, large whales, and Cthulhu all make an appearance.
Whether you'll just have to endure these distractions, or if you'll have to do something on the screen to get rid of them, while also keeping time, is unknown.

Whatever the case, hopefully it makes for a game that's as fun as it is eccentric. We'll find out when it arrives on iOS soon.

Until then, check out the creator's website for updates.
