Unity will soon be supported on the New Nintendo 3DS, giving the four million registered Unity developers the opportunity to make or port games to the dual-screen handheld.

Unity powers pretty much every major iOS and Android game, from Monument Valley to The Room to Crossy Road to Republique. Plus, PC and console games like Ori and the Blind Forest, Beseige, and Jazzpunk.

Now, Nintendo’s in-house developers and 3rd party creators can use the ubiquitous engine to make games and apps for the New 3DS. Not the old one. The new one. So, expect to see a bunch more interesting games hit the eShop soon.

The announcement was made at Unite 2015 Tokyo.
