Diego Cathalifaud will be finishing up his roguelike trilogy on April 16th with the launch of Arcane Tower.

As with Amber Halls and Power Grounds before it, Arcane Tower twists the roguelike formula into a compact and focused challenge.

This time around, you'll be playing a wizard trying to move through a tower, restricted to using only three spells per floor.

You collect these spells from around the level by bumping into them. These include gaining back lost hearts, teleportation, fireballs, and plenty more.

There are also spells that can be obtained directly from enemies. Killing a spider might give you a web spell that you can use to hold a monster in place for two turns.

The spiders also use this spell against you. And so, part of getting better at the game is learning how each enemy works. Bats only attack if you disturb them. The skull-headed guys won't pursue until you are in line with them, and so on.

Other than that, it's the usual mix of grid-based movement, bumping into enemies to attack, and turn-by-turn tactics.

As said, expect this one to be out on iOS on April 16th.
