Spiderweb Software has announced that its old-school RPG Avernum 2: Crystal Souls will be available for iPad on April 15th.

You'll be helping the Avernites to fight against the tyrannical Empire who threw them into the titular underworld prison to die.

Your role is to emerge as a hero to get revenge on your captors as a epic, old-school fantasy unfolds.

As with Spiderweb's other RPGs, Avernum 2 will consist of challenging turn-based battles, rich story telling, and world exploration.

There are three game-winning quests, a massive nation of tunnels and caves housing over 100 towns and dungeons, over 60 spells and hundreds of artifacts to discover.
