Portable Pixels has announced today that it's bringing Hatchi to iWatch.

It will be compatible with Apple's smartwatch once an update rolls out in the near future - presumably, some time after the iWatch is released.

So, if you already spent the £1.49 / $1.99 asking price on Hatchi, you won't have to pay any more to get it on iWatch.

You will, of course, have to own an iWatch. And those things are bound to not be cheap. We should find out how much they cost during Apple's event today.

Oh, and for those who don't know, Hatchi is a retro virtual pet that was released back in 2012.

It's a lot like the Tamagotchi that I used to have my mum look after while I went to school. Would have been great to have been able to sneak it into school masqueraded as a watch.

I guess that's possible now (if you're a kid who has parents trust you with a very expensive watch).

Hatchi also got a sequel last year that had a more colourful presentation.
