Table Tennis Touch is coming to Android on March 12th, but only for Lollipop

Yakuto has told us that the Gold Award-winning Table Tennis Touch will be out for Android on March 12th.

But not everyone will be able to get it. You'll only be able to play it on Android Lollipop. Before you get outraged, read Yakuto's explanation as to why this is the case.

"Much to our disappointment, we discovered a bug in the Unity engine that causes unpredictable crashes on certain devices running KitKat. The devices affected all use the Snapdragon 800," the studio said.

Yakuto has been trying to find a way around it for a while, hence the Android version is arriving nine months after the iOS version.

The studio is hoping that Unity will be able to find a work around that will enable KitKat users to also play the game on Android soon.

Until then, only the Lollipop users will be able to purchase it for £2.99 / $3.99 on Google Play and the Amazon App Store next week.

Our reviewer called Table Tennis Touch a "wonderfully well put together table tennis sim that deserves to be played by as many people as possible."
