Goat Simulator dev is now publishing 'censorship simulator' The Westport Independent
Silly gets serious
Creator of Goat Simulator Coffee Stain Studios has announced that it's publishing Double Zero One Zero's "censorship simulator" The Westport Independent.
Yep, that's a studio known primarily for a very silly game publishing what is undoubtedly a rather serious one.
To celebrate the announcement, a new trailer for the game has been released, which you can watch above.
The game has you playing as the editor of a newspaper in a totalitarian post-war state.
The country is in a dire state with the Loyalist government watching everything while rebels attempt to disrupt their power.
You can change headlines and the tones of articles. By doing so, you affect what happens in the city around you, influencing the different parties.
But you have to be careful as you, too, are being closely watched. Go too far out of line and the government will come after you.
The Westport Independent will be coming to iOS and Android (and PC) later this year. Check out its website for more details.
