Dark, painterly iOS platformer Nihilumbra arrives on PS Vita next week
Escape the void
Beautifun Games is bringing its Bronze Award-winning platformer Nihilumbra to PS Vita on January 28th in Europe (January 27th in the US).
Our review of the iOS version called it a "gloomy, intelligent platformer [that] will keep you playing until the bitter end."
It has you playing as a black blob of ooze called Born as it escaped the all-consuming Void.
To do this, you need to traverse a number of levels by using five different colours that, when painted, change the environment.
Blue makes a world icy and slippy, while green adds extra bounce, and brown sees the ground become sticky. You have to experiment with these colours and others in order to succeed.
The Vita version of Nihilumbra will use the touchscreen for the colour painting while the d-pad is used for moving Born.
If you fancy giving it a shot next week, Nihilumbra will cost you €8.99 / $9.99 on the PlayStation Store.
