Following its teaser back in November, Mutant Labs has announced that its side-scrolling yak racer Yak Dash: Horns of Glory will be out for iOS on January 22nd.

You can see the game in full flow in the new video above. In short, it's colourful and fast-paced 2D yaks and their riders dashing and front-flipping.

(Apparently, what you're watching is an example of "yakrobatics." Mutant Labs came up with that one, not me.)

Yak Dash will have 17 levels across four mountain ranges for you to race along. This includes grassland, icy tundra, sandy desert, and volcanic terrain.

Being a racing game, it's all about being fast (find shortcuts!), but you should also show flair as you leap across chasms and bash rocks out the way if you want to get speed boosts.

The game also features fully customisable yaks and riders so that you can stand out from the herd.

Sound good? Well then, Yak Dash will set you back £1.49 / $1.99 when it arrives on the 22nd.

Oh, and it will be coming to Android as well. You can sign up for updates on the game's website to be among the first to find out when that Android release date is.
