As we reported yesterday, Apple has raised the set price points on the iOS App Store in the UK, Norway, Canada, and every country in the European Union, due to changes in VAT and foreign exchange rates.

Below, you'll find the new price of apps (and in-app purchases) in the UK, based on the pricing matrix given to iOS developers and acquired by Pocket Gamer.

Old - New
  • 69p - 79p
  • 99p - 99p
  • £1.49 - £1.49
  • N/A - £1.99 (Alternative tier 2)
  • £1.99 - £2.29
  • £2.49 - £2.99
  • £2.99 - £3.99
  • £3.99 - £4.49
  • £4.99 - £4.99
  • £5.49 - £5.99
  • £5.99 - £6.99
  • £6.99 - £7.99
  • £7.49 - £8.49
  • £7.99 - £8.99
  • £8.99 - £9.99
  • £9.99 - £10.49

The alternative tier 2 entry above means that while £1.99 apps have automatically risen to be £2.29, developers can manually set it back to £1.99 by selecting 'Alternative Tier 2'.

Elsewhere, the cheapest apps have risen from seven to nine krone in Norway, from €0.89 to €0.99 in every country that uses the Euro, and from $0.99 to $1.19 in Canada.

Did you go on an App Store shopping spree yesterday, before the prices changed? And will the extra 10p stop you buying pocket money games or the cheapest in-app purchases?
