Brilliantly grim border control sim Papers, Please is set to hit the App Store tomorrow. It would have arrived earlier, but Apple rejected the first submission because of "pornographic material".

This apparently referred to the security scanner option that let you set the scan to full nudity. We’ll be having none of that on the App Store thank you very much. But scantily clad fantasy characters are fine. Obviously.

The game sees you manning a border control point in the fictional country of Arstotzka, using a variety of methods to decide who gets let in, who gets turned away, and who gets arrested.

The iPad version features everything from the original PC game, including all 31 days and 20 endings. There’s also an unlockable multitouch mode that makes you paper filing more efficient, and an enhanced inspection mode.

Papers, Please will be available on the App Store tomorrow. It’s on sale for a limited time at £3.99 / $5.99 before going up to its normal price of £5.99 / $7.99.
