The Silver Award-winning organism gobbler Osmos is on sale once again on iOS.

Instead of spending £1.99 / $2.99 for the game on the App Store [buy], you can snatch it up for just 69p / 99c right now.

Oh, and if you want the iPad version of Osmos then that'll also cost you 69p / 99c on the App Store [buy] instead of £2.99 / $4.99. An even better deal.

Back in 2010, Apple announced Osmos as its iPad Game of the Year.

We enjoyed it too, but noted in our review that "pacing issues and overly random gameplay detract from the elegance of Osmos."

It's a game in which you play a galactic mote, and must become bigger by absorbing other motes. But you are as vulnerable as your prey as bigger motes will also absorb you if you get too close.

Your other problem that you need to balance is that to move around you need to eject motes. This causes you to shrink.

As stressful as that might sound, Osmos is actually a relaxing, ambient game that you can lie down on your sofa with during a lazy evening.
