It's all getting a little strange

Nitrome has been teasing its next big game with short, perplexing video clips.

No, this isn't the upcoming Endless Doves, which we've already covered - this is something else entirely.

We're told that it's a "bigger title than 8bit Doves… more like Icebreaker though possibly that's overreaching," Nitrome told us.

We don't know much else about it at the moment, and the videos offer little for us to go on.

The first seems to show a man shoving a V-sign at the camera while a cat sleeps atop a colourful box. There is also kanji that I cannot translate, unfortunately.

The second video is even more cryptic. It's in black-and-white and starts with someone sat on the coast, while another person sprays themselves with what seems to be a perfume sprizter.

In both, there are glitchy half-second clips of gameplay, but it's hard to make anything out. It seems to be a 2D game, but that much is expected from Nitrome.

My thought is that the video clips may pertain to upgrades in the game, perhaps.

Luckily, to stave off the confusion a little, we have a couple of factoids from Nitrome.

"It has bosses and a cool soundtrack by Eirik Suhrke who did the music on Ridiculous Fishing, Spelunky, Super Crate Box and Hotline Miami amongst others," Nitrome told us about this game.

We also got confirmation that this will be a premium game, as opposed to being free to play.

The third and final teaser for this game should be out by the end of the week, so keep an eye on Nitrome's YouTube account for that.
