Arizona-based indie studio, Spiky Fish Games, has announced its debut title: Sketchcross, a logic puzzler and PS Vita exclusive.

Nonograms are logic puzzles that Kendal Cormany, CEO and lead programmer at Spiky Fish Games, describes as a combination of sudoku and crosswords.

Sketchcross will have you using numbered rows and columns to fill in squares on a grid, a puzzle that eventually forms a picture.

These pictures will range from basic 5x5 shapes to more intricate 30x30 images. There are 50 puzzles total, though the Sketchcross team hopes to release more after the game is out.

The game will include a Normal mode, and a harder Frenzy mode, which adds a time limit to randomly generated puzzles.

According to some of the comments in their announcement post, Spiky Fish Games hopes to release a demo of Sketchcross at some point, but it is not a guarantee.

"Having a demo is something we would like to do," Cormany says in one reply, specifying in another that it would not be until "closer to the game's launch."
