Massive turn-based strategy game Battle Worlds: Kronos conquers iPad and Android tablets today

King Art's massive strategy battler Battle Worlds: Kronos has been released for iPad and Android tablets today.
It's a cross-platform online turn-based game that was funded on Kickstarter last year. The idea is to bring back the type of tough and pure tactical strategy of Battle Isle and Advance Wars.

If you've been following Kronos for a while, you've probably either seen it or already played in on PC. One thing to note with this tablet version is that it doesn't look much like the PC version.

It has been stripped back visually in order to run well on tablets. And, on that note, you'll need at least an iPad 3 to run the game on iOS.

While the visuals have been diluted, the heart of the game is no different. In fact, you can save matches on your tablet and transfer them to your PC, returning to where you were.

Battle Worlds: Kronos comes with two single-player campaigns that will apparently last over 50 hours.

It also has single-player challenge maps, asynchronous online cross-platform multiplayer, as well as leagues and tournaments for you to compete in.

You can purchase the game during this launch week with 33 percent knocked off its price.

So, that means it'll cost you £6.99 / $9.99 on the App Store [buy] and Google Play [buy] this week. After that it will go up to £10.49 / $14.99.

There's also a lite version of the game on Google Play [download] that you can download for free.
