The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth splats poop-filled dungeons on Vita in the US today

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth arrives on Vita (and PS4, PC) today in the US. It'll be available to European PlayStation owners tomorrow, November 5th.

It'll cost you $14.99 to buy on PSN, unless you're a PS Plus member, in which case it's free for the entirety of November.

Rebirth is a remake of Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl's top-down roguelike shooter that proved a big hit on PC. Publisher Nicalis has joined the team to bring it to consoles.

You play as the young Isaac after he's been chased by his god-fearing mother into the basement. Down there, he finds all sorts of disgusting beasts and fights them with his tears.

Rebirth contains all of the original content, all the Wrath of the Lamb expansion content, as well as loads of new content to pack it out with over 500 hours of gameplay.

This includes over 450 items with 160 new unlockables, over 100 enemies, 10 playable characters, over 50 bosses, and 20 challenge runs.

Unlike the original game, Rebirth is made in a non-Flash engine meaning it should run much smoother. To finish off its glossier look, it has entirely new 16-bit graphics too.

Oh, and apparently it has poop physics now as well.
