Autobirds are go: Angry Birds Transformers rolls out worldwide on iOS
Android edition coming later this month
Rovio's most recent corporate mash-up is now available to download, everywhere. iOS gamers can get Angry Birds Transformers off the App Store, for free, here.
Android gamers will need to wait until October 30th for their chance to sully their nostalgic memories. It will also hit Amazon devices on November 4th.
The game is not, we were pleased to learn, yet another Angry Birds game but in Transformers cosplay. Instead, it's an interesting mash-up of physics puzzler and auto-runner where your sprinting bird-bot blasts piggy shanty towns.
You'll also need to transform into a truck (or a sports car, or whatever - each bird is based on a different bot) to dodge falling obstacles. You can also upgrade your robot, tag-team with buddies, or use Telepods to import physical toys.
And it has the best pause screen in a mobile game.
